Visible standards
We make reasoning, context, and editorial judgment clear rather than hiding them behind momentum.
About / Since 2018
7 years community-led coverageAETHERGRID began with tournament organizers, modders, and independent game journalists looking for a better place for the conversation to travel.
Origin
In 2018, people already running events, extending games, and reporting on independent work started comparing notes. The coverage they wanted could not be reduced to launch-day noise or a scoreboard.
AETHERGRID grew from that shared practice: a place for discovery, competition, criticism, and community that treats players as participants in the culture, not as a market segment.

Principles / Coverage methodology
Our coverage method is built to be credible in the room and useful after it.
We make reasoning, context, and editorial judgment clear rather than hiding them behind momentum.
Regional experience and player context are part of the reporting, not a side note to it.
We follow the people, systems, and stories that make a game matter beyond its first week.
